This article discusses the problem of a non-working compressor on our 2000 C5 Audi A6 Quattro 4.2 V8. We took it to the foremost auto air specialist in the nearby big town. For $50, they told us that we need a new compressor, that installing that would cost $1,235 and that on principle they are not willing to install used parts, hence neither of the two used compressors I had bought along.
