This article discusses the front drive shaft on a 2000 Audi A6 Quattro with the 4.2 V8. My focus here is on how aggressively to torque the triple-square bolts involved in attaching the front drive shaft to the transmission. I looked them up in the online Bentley manual. If I read it right: 51 foot-pounds.
Incidentally, the torque setting for attaching the nearby heat shield is: 17 foot-pounds.
