Audi C5 A6 Front Seat RemovalLast Updated: 09/24/2017 | | Parts Group: Seat assembly | This article discusses the engine cover on a 2000 Audi A6 Quattro with the 4.2 V8. My focus here is on how to remove the part.

The information herein is based on project cars we've worked on.
Remove the four pieces of seat slide rear trim, two inboard and two outboard. Remove the two 13mm bolts that are semi-buried in the carpeting at the center bottom of the seat basis. Tilt the seat backward and undo the wiring clips. Lift the seat and turn it sideways, then maneuver it out the back door.
If you've broken the trim pieces that cover the rear slides, then welcome to the club -- and we do sell replacement units.
