Audi C5 A6 Hazard Lights Switch Removal

Last Updated: 09/24/2017

Parts Group: Hazard lights switch
This article discusses the hazard lights switch on Audi C5 A6 cars, specifically the removal process.

If you're not here for the technical analysis but would rather buy a used unit from us ... then please select the link below. To remove this part, we first remove the rectangular black plastic part that has a triangular hole through which the switch fits. Next, we open the cup holder and the coin tray, and wedge a flat screwdriver in each place where a brass=colored clips is, and we push the scredriver in while jiggling the part and pulling it out. Eventually this frees the cup holder and the coin tray enough to pull it forward and to pull the light plug away from the socket, which enables the cup holder and the coin tray to be completely removed, thus exposing the clips on either side of the hazard lights switch.

We push those in, on either side, and push the hazard lights switch out of the dashboard.
